About:

This project was a collaboration between Raw Design Studio, students from the University of Utah School of Architecture, and Weber State University’s Shaw Gallery. The students designed and built a viewing platform for a temporary salt installation by the Japanese artist Motoi Yamamoto. 3D modeling and digital fabrication methods were used to complete the platform. The design team included graduate and undergraduate students from the University of Utah.
